Booking Policy and Terms

Security Deposit

A security deposit of $200 is required at the time of booking.

This deposit will be fully refunded within 7 business days after your departure, provided that all conditions outlined in the rental agreement have been met.

In the event of any damage or violation, the deposit will be held while your file is being reviewed. Once the matter is resolved, any applicable penalty will be deducted from the deposit, and a copy of the invoice and receipt can be provided upon request.

This security deposit also serves as a guarantee for the use of any rental equipment, including watercraft, kayaks, paddle boards, and other gear.

Cancellation Policy

• More than 30 days before arrival: No cancellation fee. It is possible to change the date and/or accommodation free of charge, subject to availability and current rates.
• Less than 14 days before arrival: The deposit paid is non-refundable ($100 or 50% of the total amount). No possibility to change the date and/or accommodation.

Reasons for cancellation: Regardless of the reason for cancellation (weather conditions, road conditions, natural disasters, illness, death, or any other reason), Séjour is not held responsible.

Check-in and Check-out Times

Check-in: 3:00 p.m.
Check-out: 12:00 p.m. (noon)

For arrivals outside front desk hours, the guest must notify us in advance to receive the proper procedure.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in additional charges and/or expulsion without refund. Penalties will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Departure Instructions

• Collect all trash (black bags) and recycling (clear bags) — both inside and outside — and deposit them in the outdoor bins located at the chalet entrance.

• Wash the dishes and put them away. Clean the BBQ as you use it.

• Return all accessories and furniture (inside and outside) to their original places. Turn off lights, close windows, and lock the door.

• Return the keys to the designated location. Failure to do so may result in variable fees.

• Séjour is not responsible for lost or forgotten items left at the chalet. Any personal belongings found after your departure will be kept for a maximum of two (2) months before being donated to a charitable organization.

1. FIREWORKS and/or SKY LANTERNS: They are STRICTLY PROHIBITED under all circumstances. Penalty is automatically applied. Possibility of eviction without refund.
2. CAMPFIRES: Outdoor campfires are permitted depending on the fire hazard index issued by SOPFEU (Quebec’s forest fire prevention agency). Please check with the village for current campfire permissions. Only use designated outdoor fire pits. Excessive fires are forbidden. Penalty automatically applies if SOPFEU’s fire index restrictions are not respected.
3. AUTHORIZED NUMBER OF PERSONS: Exceeding maximum capacity is prohibited. It is your responsibility to notify Séjour if you increase the number of guests beyond the original booking and/or hold any event at the chalet, with or without visitors, day or night. Certain conditions apply for events; please inform us as soon as possible. Fines, eviction, and/or ban from the property without refund may apply.
4. PARTIES, EXCESSIVE NOISE, MUSIC, ETC.: Quiet hours start at 11 p.m. Any complaint requiring compensation to the complainant will be your responsibility. This serves as your formal notice. Respect for the peace and quiet of neighboring residents is mandatory at all times.
5. CAMPING and/or TENTS: Camping, tents, trailers, RVs, food trucks, canopies, inflatable games, or similar items are not allowed on chalet grounds. You must request special permission for exceptions.
6. NO SMOKING: All chalets are non-smoking. Smoking is only permitted outside the chalet. $300 fine applies.
7. BOATS and WATERCRAFT: Please moor your personal watercraft at the designated dock. Provincial laws apply on the lake.
8. RESPONSIBILITY: The renter acts as the responsible party and representative for all occupants. The renter agrees to enforce this contract and communicate all information to the rest of the occupants. The renter is responsible for the property and its contents and assumes full responsibility for the group. Occupants must behave in a manner that does not disturb other residents or neighbors.
9. FISHING: Fishing permits and provincial laws apply.
10. SWIMMING: The lake is ideal for swimming. No leeches, water snakes, or blue-green algae. Wearing a life jacket is strongly recommended.
11. SNOWMOBILES and ATVs: You must stay on federally approved trails and main village roads and obey all traffic signs. Within the village, you have access to sanctioned snowmobile trails.
12. PETS: One pet is allowed per stay. You must notify us at booking or before arrival. Pet waste must be picked up at all times and places. Pets may not be left unattended inside the chalet. Avoid excessive barking. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times on the property and in public areas. Liabilities: Any pet inside the rented chalet is the renter’s responsibility. The renter will be held responsible for any damage caused by the pet inside or outside the property. The security deposit will be used to cover damages caused by pets.
